TROUBLE SHOTS

You’ve found yourself in the trees and need to hit a big hook or a big slice to get the ball back in play.  Here’s how I do it and how I would recommend that you do it.  Set up to the ball with the clubface lined up where you want the ball to finish and your body lined up where you want the ball to start and then just make your normal swing making sure to also try to impart the correct spin on the ball depending if you’re trying to hook or slice.    So you are in the trees and must hit a big hook out of them; line the club at the target then take your stance way to the right where the ball will start out, this will result in a “closed” stance and will be easier to hit the hook.  Make sure you don’t move the club to the right when you move your feet that way because then you’re not closed, you’re just aimed to the right.  The best advice is to hit it in the fairway so you don’t have to worry about this, but we all know eventually we find ourselves having to get out of trouble.  Good Luck!!
